Small repairs should be instant

Dust on a sensor, specks on a scanned print, a mark on a wall, a blemish on skin — these are tiny, and the right tool for tiny is not a download and a progress bar. Blemish mode repairs a spot the moment you click it, using a texture engine that copies matching detail from just around the spot rather than inventing new pixels. It needs no AI model, works on any device, and keeps the photograph's own grain.

Find spots

On a plain area — a sky, a studio backdrop, the margins of a scan — dust is easy for a computer to see and tedious for a person to hunt. Find spots looks for small discs that differ sharply from the ring of pixels around them, but only where that ring is itself calm; a pebble on a beach differs from its surroundings too, but so does every other pebble, so the beach is left alone. Every proposal is circled and pre-selected; click any you want to keep, then fix the rest in one go. Nothing is changed until you confirm.

Old photos: cleanup, not restoration

For scanned prints, Blemish mode removes dust, spots, small stains and short scratches. It does not restore faded colour, recover lost detail or repair large tears — that is a different job, and this tool says so rather than pretending.

Questions

How do I get the best result?
Include the object's edges and its shadow, remove one thing at a time on busy patterns, use Wire mode for thin lines, and zoom in to check. If an outline of the object survives, use “Remove remaining edge”.
Can I restore part of an edit?
Yes. The Restore brush paints original pixels back anywhere, any history step can be restored on its own, and every edit can be undone.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP and AVIF where your browser can decode it, plus HEIC and TIFF through decoders that run on the device (TIFF: 8- or 16-bit greyscale, RGB or palette; uncompressed, LZW, PackBits or Deflate). You can save as PNG, JPG, WebP, or AVIF where the browser can write it.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page and the eraser model have been loaded once. After that you can open, select, erase and export without a connection. Features whose models you have not downloaded yet will say so instead of failing.
Is EraseObject free?
Yes. There are no credits, no per-image fee and no account. Because the AI runs on your own device, an erase costs us nothing to serve, so there is nothing to meter.
Does the rest of the image change?
No. Only pixels inside the (slightly expanded) selection are replaced. Every other pixel is copied through exactly; the photo is not resized or regenerated, and the only re-encoding is the one you choose when you save.
